WELCOME TO THE ArtRegi WEBSITE
The idea for this site arose at the first European conference on national assisted reproduction technology (ART) registers, organized by FABER in Lausanne, March 2007.
Although data on ART treatments have been collected for many years, the same questions about what to record arise each time a new register is established. The aim of this site is to provide information and help on how to set up a register that collects appropriate data from the outset. The expectation is that accurate statistical data collected by clinics will supply data to national, regional and international organizations for publication. This accurate data will benefit doctors, biologists, the public and, especially, patients.
This site has been set up to meet several needs:
* provide fully searchable information on how to set up national ART registers
* create a blog in which experience and information can be exchanged, questions asked and answered by experts
* list ART centers worldwide
* establish a mailing list of all stakeholders
This site seeks to closely work with societies and organizations already established in the field of ART.
